Three steps to wake up from technology hypnosis and live a joyful, fulfilling life.

Hello Lovely,

What do you know about Hypnosis?

get out of technology hypnosis

Last week I went to see the movie “GET OUT” (I highly recommend it) and was pleasantly surprised and disturbed at the same time by the way the film presents this technique. Hypnosis is used my many therapists to help patients heal many different issues like smoking, past traumas, and even past life regressions.

This movie took this idea further by presenting the possible adverse outcomes of hypnosis by showing a white family using it to control the life and bodies of black people.

As much as I enjoyed the great job done by the director/writer Jordan Peele to show racism and the differences between race in the United States with humor and real life scenarios, I would like to focus on exploring how different types of hypnosis is affecting us during our daily lives.

Since I saw the movie I have been thinking about how technology is the modern hypnotherapist of our society. Many different TV shows, content, and social media are specially designed to influence our thoughts and the way we feel about ourselves.

I know you love your TV, phone, and social media platforms and believe me I do too, but hear me out for a second.

In the movie, the therapist uses a teacup and a spoon to hypnotize her targets slowly. It is a soft and subtle action that appears to be harmless eliminating suspicion. The same way the advertisement on TV shows slowly gets inside of our thoughts making us feel as if we are missing out on a secret that we must get by watching or buying whatever they are selling.

Their selling techniques influence us to wish we were somewhere else living a different life instead of encouraging us to look inside and around us enjoying the beauty and opportunities available for us right now.

They distract us from our dreams and gifts by keeping us glue to the TV, phones and computers creating insecurities about our bodies, career, relationships and life, to keep us in a constant race seeking for happiness and fulfillment somewhere else.

Why am I telling you all this?

Because I want you to wake up.

Healing with the ocean

  • Yes, wake up to the infinite power within you that is ready to help you live your best life only if you decide to do so.

  • Wake up from the misbelief that life is difficult and that the people on TV or social media know or have something you don’t have.

  • Wake up to the truth that you are the universe and that all the ideas, goals and dreams inside your heart are waiting for you to make a choice to manifest them and “Get Out” of your dream state.

  • Wake up to your divinity, beauty, and talents, and own your uniqueness and shine.

You may be thinking:

"I am pretty awake."

If you are awake, Congrats! Please share your knowledge and shine your light.

"I am happy the way I am."

Awesome! If you are happy where you at and know that there is no kind of hypnosis in your life, be an example to those around you.

"I don’t watch TV or use social media."

If you don’t watch TV or use social media but compare yourself to celebrities and wish you had their lives, there is still some work to do.

How can I wake up?

I am not going to lie and say that waking up is an easy process, but believe me when I tell you that it is worth it.

You will start to be aware of the many misbeliefs keeping you stuck and living the same life day in and day out. You will learn to be present and able to take advantage of the many opportunities available in each moment. Most importantly, you will know who you truly are and access the endless potential within you.

WAKE UP: In 3 steps:

meditation

1) Meditation: I can’t emphasize enough the importance of meditation. It is an easy an effective way to connect with your heart, access ideas, and promote health, peace, and love in your life.

If you don’t know how to meditate, use guided meditations like the self-love meditation I have on my website and start creating a daily practice.

practice letting go

2) Letting go of misbeliefs: Many of the believe system we live by are not even our beliefs. They were part of the brainwash of our parents, friends, culture and society.

They meant well, but they are not serving you and is time to let them go.

By dissolving the misbelief you grew up with, you can start making choices based on your truth and not someone elses.

As you start to wake up and connect with who you truly are, you will start connecting with what makes you feel happy, fulfilled and purposeful.

Be inquisitive about everything you think you believe now.

For example:

If one of your misbeliefs is that life is complicated and is hard to make a living, I want you to explore the root of that believe.

Go deep and think of the first time you got that idea. Truly have a conversation with yourself and ask if you feel that to be true now or if it is just a believe past down to you from your family or culture.

Make the intention to let that go and reframe that misbelieve with a new idea.

Use an affirmation to reframe the misbelieve every time the thought of life being difficult comes up.

Affirmation:

I live in a loving and abundant universe and I easily receive everything I need.

being present with nature

3) Be Present: Being present is not as common as you may think. Most of us spend our days on our phones or watching TV and rarely take the time to be present with our emotions, dreams, and people around us.

The primary practice to wake up is to be mindful whenever you get out of your body and start wondering about anything from the past, future or a particular situation.

It takes constant effort to stay present, but with some practice, it will become second nature to you, and you will gain full control of your thoughts and time.

To make it easier to come back to the present moment, as soon as you realize that you drifted away, use the Mantra:

I am happily living in the NOW.

Remember that any change you want to create takes effort and daily practice is the best way to stay focus and motivated. It doesn’t matter what you choose to do, just do something. Meditate, connect with your higher self, use affirmations, write or do any other method that works for you.

The goal is not to be perfect but to be awake and aware of your true self and the endless possibilities you have to create your dreams and live a vibrant life.

You are perfect as you are and happiness is within you and not somewhere else.

I hope this serves you to be present, open and aware of your divinity.
